Flags

osu! doesn't have a flag tag. A flag is a picture, so it goes in [img], with the address of the flag image osu! itself uses.

The quick way

In the editor, press Flag in the toolbar, search for a country by name or by its two-letter code, and click it. bb writes the [img] for you.

Small flags and current flags

osu! has two sets of flag images:

• The small flags are PNG files named by country code, like JP.png. They're about the height of a line of text.
• The current flags are SVG files. Their address is made from the country code's two regional indicator letters, so Japan is 1f1ef-1f1f5.svg.

bb uses the small PNG flags by default. The SVG flags have no size of their own, so they fill the width of the page or box they're in, as below. osu! also shows every image through its own image proxy, and we can't check from here that the proxy passes SVG files. Pick "Current (SVG)" in the picker only when you want a big flag.

Flags in a list of players

Put the flag right before the name, with a space between them, one player per line. The Players tool in the editor writes these lines for you from a list of names or ids:

Each small flag adds 49 characters to your post (a current one 65), so a long staff or player list is worth a look at the counter.
